Hey,

So I bought my Macbook Pro using the online Apple store with higher education discount seeing as I am currently at university.

Upon researching around I noticed that I was entitled to 3 years replacement warranty however when I checked my status it only states until 2013.

Anyone know why or does it only display once my first year is over.

Thank you.

Did you purchase Applecare?

He doesn't need to, in the UK HE students are entitled to 3yrs of warranty.

OP, as long as you purchased the laptop from your university's online Apple store link, which you should have if you received the HE discount, then you automatically receive the 3yrs. It takes a few weeks for the warranty status to be updated though. If 2-3 weeks pass and there has been no changes give Apple a call.
