Deleted App Still Shows As Needing Update In Mac App Store
So I installed Twitter via the Mac App Store (under Lion) months ago, and decided to delete the app tonight (under Mountain Lion). Even though the app appears to be completely removed from my system, the Mac App Store keeps telling me that there is an update available for it. How do I let the MAS know that I no longer have this app installed on my system, so it will stop with the update news?

That Twitter.app is still on the disk or another partition.
If you can't innovate, you just imitate, but it's never quite as good as the original

Wow, I was so frustrated as I had also deleted an app and the App Store kept showing the update. Spent a long while looking and deleting prefs, etc. but it still wouldn't go away. Thanks to you guys, it turned out I always keep an archive of apps on an external drive. Just zipped that up... and the Updates are gone! Thanks for your help.
