tiger 10.4.2 with MACALLY phr 100 ac and HP psc2355

hello my name is Ariel
i just got the new powerbook with tiger and i dont get it i have a hard drive
with fw that doesnt work and my printer also doesnt respond , both are
in the system profile when i connect but as unknowen what can i do to fix
pls i am a photographer and i really need to use the hard drive and the
printer.

Let's try the easiest stuff first. Try shutting down and restarting the Mac and see if that makes the problems magically disappear. Zapping the PRAM is always fun too, even if it's not always useful.

On the PHR 100AC enclosure, do you have any better luck if you try plugging it in via USB instead of FireWire? (That might help narrow down where the problem is.)
