VLC Disappeared

Yesterday I downloaded VLC player and used it for hours.
Today its gone.

Why would this happen?

Look at the bottom left of that window under devices and it looks like you still have the VLC DNG installer open, and I suspect you were running the app from there.

Click on that installer in the left column then drag the VLC app from there into Applications. Then eject the DMG by clicking the little up arrow right next to the DMG.

You bet. I have always thought it was very confusing installing apps under OS X.
