iOS 6 Beta 4: New Features & Improvements (fixes) Thread

Here is a link to my photo stream.
https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#...lOcB1JcaP9p8Hw

So I have made posts for Bugs and Flaws, but with the GM nearing there are fewer each beta.
You can post your findings here.

After my phone restarted I noticed a new welcome screen that said iOS 6.

And all of Apple's native apps are rearranged.

New Features:
New Welcome Screen.

No more YouTube.app

In Passbook.app there is a new button for the App Store.

When you click the link you are brought to the app store with this error.

Bluetooth Sharing

Wi-Fi Plus Cellular

Shared Calendar Alerts is back.

Improvements (fixes):
-Passbook.app brightness flaw has been fixed.
-Saving an image from messages no longer saves two.
-Screen does not turn on when volume buttons are pressed.
-Maps.app does not automatically go into Flyover when you search.
-Status bar blending seems better!

You can still upload videos to YouTube from Photos.app!

I tested it. You can upload the video and add info. Same as before. When you tap view my video on YouTube it takes you to the video in Safari.

Well finally the horrible Youtube App is gone. When you want to watch a Youtube video, as in clicking on a link, how does that act now?

Me too, I would have liked them to redesign it for iOS 6 instead of removing it, but just because it's Google...

They will probably replace it with Vimeo, which will be close to useless for me.

Yeah, what's with the YouTube app being removed? YouTube is part of Google. Is Apple trying to distance themselves even further from Google?

I will be really disappointed if they don't add it in by the GM. iOS 6 needs the Mountain Lion style dock and unified Safari bar. Also, a redesigned YouTube app, but that's not going to happen now that Apple is shunning Google.

I'm sure the YouTube app will appear in the app store as a stand alone downloadable app. Because it's Google it's just not going to be factory installed but they won't restrict it in the store I'm sure. Just my .02

Saving an image received through MMS doesn't save two copies anymore!

How does the YouTube app being gone surprise *any* of you? Of course Apple is trying to minimize Google's presence on the iPhone. It's been obvious for years, and is especially so with iOS 6.

Good riddance to a neglected app. Apple designed the UI for the Maps and YouTube apps originally. Google got much of the benefit.

Let Google do their own UI work instead of piggybacking off of Apple's designs.

Personally, I feel this is the best solution. That way Google can maintain the app and push updates.
