I have just purchased a new Macbook pro and used migration assistant to transfer files from macbook (2008) to new machine.
New macbook pro has now created a user account and a guest account but the user account wants a password.
I did not have a user account on startup on old machine but have tried my password (that i used to make system changes on old machine) with no joy and I have tried my apple ID password - no joy.
Underneath it says use apple id to reset password. It won't let me do that. Password box just "wiggles"!!!!
Sorry if I am being a dunce but can anyone help me get in?
