I've got a used 500 Tibook I am going to give to a friend, with new hd. Since I don't have the original 500 discs (if anyone does, let me know, I'll buy 'em) I think I could probably use the 400 Titanium original discs? The reason I want to do this is to make my friend feel like she's getting a new computer and have her register and all that.
If this is dumb, tell me now, but I just went through the whole new iBook process and I was reminded that it makes you feel some apple "pride in ownership".
Of course, I'll put on Panther or Tiger after the intial start up -- or should I start it up with the new Tiger discs from the get-go? Sorry I'm so dumb about this.
