I recently decided to update a few Mac's to Mountain Lion. (Which is a story in itself. ) I had to update them to Snow Leopard from Leopard, while I was doing this I decided to update my older Mac Mini(s) (Mid 2007) to Snow leopard as well. I did this and now have no internet connection via ethernet and/or Airport. What can do to fix this?

TL;DR Version:
Updated Mac Mini (Mid 2007) to Snow Leopard resulting in no internet via ethernet and/or Airport.

Side Note - It shows the ethernet as being connected despite no internet connection.

Depends. If you have an older router in might not support Jumbo Frames. So open system Preferences-.Network, highlight your connected port, and then press the Advanced button. When the Advanced menu comes down select 'Hardware' mini tab and just the MTU down. Then see if you can get out.
