apps crashing

lately, my ipad 2 has been crashing a lot. why is this happening? i bought it refurbished... should i take it to apple?

What apps are you using?
What are you doing when it crashes?
What do you mean it crashes? Freezes? Restarts? What?

messages closed when i tried to insert a picture. the app "in class" closes a lot when i try to use it. i dont open that many apps at one time.

I am assuming you have configured your mail as Push Mail with the Mail APP of the iPad and that is what u r talking about right ? Can you check if you open your mail by going to that site say for e.g gmail.com or yahoomail.com and try and insert a picture from there and see what does it do ?

Generally in issues like these from my experience a Hard Reset solves the issue !
