After replacing the front cover on an iPhone 3GS the left side of the touchscreen stopped working.

At first it worked fine but after about 24 hours only the right side is responsive.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you

There's your issue. Should've brought it to Apple.

Dear batting1000,

Thank you for your helpful answer.
It turned out I snapped a small cable while inserting the sim card.
I bought a new one for $ 10,- and the iPhone works fine.

Good luck with paying hundreds of dollars for repairs you can do yourself.

Sincerely,

Mr West

I'm in warranty so I'm not worried. I'm extra careful with my electronics also. Thanks for the good luck though!
