Back to school Tech

This just posted on the Candian MSN site.

http://backtoschool.sympatico.msn.ca...r_students.htm

and more directly..."The new palmOne LifeDrive also houses a 4GB hard drive to store thousands of songs, therefore it replaces your iPod!"

If you want an all around device that doesn't match the capabilities for music as an iPod.

Sadly, yet another dig at the iPod by Microsoft.

What makes me mad is not their blatant stab at the iPod, but their hypocrisy...

Quote:
Music Players with Data Storage
Nothing beats listening your favourite songs while commuting to and from school or while walking in between classes - but another reason why these gadgets are ideal for students is because most hard-drive players and flash memory devices can also store computer data - such as Word files, PowerPoint presentations, important emails and offline Web pages - so you can easily transport it from one PC to another. And it's faster and cheaper than burning a CD! Prices start at about $30 for a regular USB flash memory stick or about $80 for one that doubles as a portable MP3 player.

If it's anything like my POS Treo, they can keep it.

$450.00 and no alarm?!?!?

Last Palm product I ever buy.

How much do those pens run? Do they work, or is it just some sort of gimmick?
