since my MDD is able to run OS9 and concidering i have a OS 9 CD i got with my iMac G3 years ago i was wondering is there would be any use for setting up a OS 9 OS X Dual Boot. As far as i Know i have nothing compatible with OS 9
You'd have to use the OS restore discs that came with your MDD to get OS 9 on it.
i just have a OS 9 Install CD
Any retail OS 9 disc doesn't have the needed things for a MDD installation. Only the copy from the MDD's restore discs will work.

If you don't need it for programs you already possess I could only think of Gaming or curiosity. Of course you can do several things with OS9, but why, when you are doing it already under OS X?
oh ok didnt think it mattered
mainly for Classic Mode in Leopard
Ubuntu 10.04 i got working on my eMac no problems at all. what is the highest Ubuntu version to work on G4 MDD?
12.04 or what ever the latest is.
based on the eMac i was told there was little success getting anything higher than 11.10 to boot
I've gotten 12.04 working rather well on a G4 iMac.
out of the box?
