This morning i noticed that if i exit out of Safari (or any other app that has static elements) these elements stay on the screen for several minutes. 2 Minutes in Safari was enough to recreate the effect:
The lines are part of the effect, because i had MacRumors open. These are the thread separation lines.
As you can see it's like a shadow of the Safari app. The iPad was used at normal room temperature with the brightness at 50%.
Is there any way to fix this? My 1 year warranty is over because i got it on release day. The iPad is also a refurbed one because i got it swapped out by Apple 5 times. (The last time in late February). I am getting more and more frustrated with the quality of this device.
