The left speaker in my Mid 2011 Macbook Air stopped working last night, and I've already taken several steps to diagnose the problem:
The nearest Apple Store is about an hour away, so I'd like to see if you guys could help in any way at all. Thanks!
- Checked 'Output' settings and balance -- Moving to the left mutes all audio
- Further tested individual speakers through Audio MIDI Setup -- Muting the right speaker mutes all audio
- Booted in Windows 7 -- Doesn't work either
- Plugged in headphones -- Audio is fine and heard in both L and R
- Restarted it, reset SMC, and put to sleep and back on -- Still not working
