Announcement about Sept 12th event?

When do you think we'll officially hear about the event? One week before? Two weeks? Three? I guess today is exactly three weeks from then. Obviously, this is assuming the event is actually on Sept 12th.

For the past 3+ years, it's roughly a week before the announcement (ranging from 6 to 8 days)

My bet is that Apple sends out the invites on 5 September to try and draw attention away from the Microsoft/Nokia announcement because Apple likes being a dick like that.

September 5th. Always exactly one week before the event.
