I got my rMBP 2 wednesdays ago. I noticed that when going into mission control, sometimes the animation is smooth, sometimes very laggy.
I rebooted my machine for the first time today, and now the lag is gone. I throw 24 windows at it, including 3 browsers (FF, Chrome, Safari), an IDE, across 3 screens, and its smooth.
As a software developer, this makes no sense to me. But there is no lag. I have NOT installed the update yet either...
