i recently installed windows 7 on my macbook pro late 2011 and i downloaded the drivers from boot camp to a DVDR and now it wont let me install the windows drivers. Are the bootcamp drivers garbage? should i download all the drivers i need by hand and if so what drivers do i need?

I have never had a problem installing the BC drivers from an external drive. Try re-downloading the drives and put them on a USB flash drive.
