i have installed xcode4.4.1 on my macbook and it just says gcc: command not found . i read that i have to open Xcode's preferences, go to the “Downloads” tab, and install them from there. but i cant even find the preferences button! someone help me with this please!!? thank you!!!

You need to download command line tools. There is an option to download it in the xcode preferences
