help with installing OSX lion

So recently I was booting into windows and my battery died completely making my operating systems corrupt. I booted into a linux CD and got all my files on an external hard drive. Now I have no way of installing OSX Lion again. When I go into recovery mode it does internet recovery instead of the one on the drive. For some reason it will not connect to my wifi and when I make my Iphone a hotspot it tries to download the recovery but fails about a minute later. Any ideas guy?
