ok so I have the Altec Lansing vs4121 2.1 system and I have been using them with my powerbook for about a week.... Just 2 days ago they decided to move to a 1.1.... For some odd reason the right speaker wont work!! it will control volume and bass and treble perfecty but no music will come out of it just hum... could my output jack be faulty?? if so that is kind of wierd considering i bought it 3 weeks ago and have had speakers plugged into it for 1 week.... I guess what im asking is what should I do?

Same thing happens to me w/ my M-Audio Studio Monitors. Only one speaker plays the sound. Both of them are connected properly.

Go into the system prefs. and click the sound tab and make sure that the balance level isn't set all the way to the left. That sometimes happens on my PB randomly.
