How to transfer photos and voice memo from iphone to a computer

Ok, this question maybe stupid and maybe asked before. But what is the easiest way to transfer all the photos on my iphone and voice memo back to a computer (PC or MAC). We have a dropbox auto sync photos, but not enough space on my dropbox.

Download iExplorer (completely free and amazing)

Plug in iPhone into computer

Locate your voice memos folder

Drag them from your iPhone to your desktop

Done

Connect it with a sync cable and it will show up like a hard drive that you can open up, browse, and copy files over. Don't recall if this works for voice memos.

Seriously, you can browse and then drag and drop your pics with no need for extra software. Not sure why all the app suggestions.

The voice memos sync over in iTunes and should be placed in your iTunes folder on your pc.

Thanks all, it seems that I can find the photos and copy to my PC. Now to sync the voice memo, since I didn't enable music sync with itune before, when I try to do that, itune warn me that it will delete all the music and voice memo content on my iphone. Is there a easy way to transfer back the voice memos?

Photos: install iCloud on your computer. http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1455

Voice memo: sync with iTunes.

Those are by far the two easiest methods.

After months of anguish about this bug with the iPhone (mine is iPhon 4) I've just given in to using 3rd party software, iPhone2Mac. It cost me $25 but it worked and now I have some bonus functionality for seeing what is on my iPhone and moving it to my laptop. Register your complaint with Apple.

Make sure the box is checked under 'music'>'include voice memos. When the sync fails do the following:

Unplug iphone from the computer after the failed sync:

- In iTunes, select File –> Library –> Organize Library –> Consolidate files

- Plug in the iphone & sync again.

When you are tying to locate a voice memo in the list of voice memos in iTunes, which appears alphabetically as the playlist 'voice memos' amongst your playlists on the right hand side in iTunes, you can search by date. But here is a cool trick. On your iPhone, before you sync, you can name the memo by tapping the arrow on the right, and then the next arrow on the right, then select a name, or tap custom.

Ample space in iTunes. about 8GB left on my iPhone.

Ive check the iTunes > Voice Memos folder - they appear to be gone, unless they're hiding on my iPhone somewhere.

iTunes backed-up my iPhone prior to syncing ... are the backups stored anywhere that i could look? maybe they're still in there.
