Restore from iCloud

My wife's iPhone 4 died last week so she had to role back to her old 3G. When she tried to restore from iTunes backup she somehow overwrote her backup and lost all her contacts/photos/etc.

Her contacts, emails, etc are backed up on iCloude but since the 3G doesn't support iOS 5 that's not an option. Question is, is there a way to restore iTunes backup using iCloud and then sync the 3G to iTunes?

Yeah well that's the plan for now. I had been on her for a few weeks prior to her 4 giving up the ghost for me to setup wireless iTunes sync but she never made it a priority. To her, all her stuff was backed up to iCloud but honestly I didn't know the 3G didn't support iOS 5 and thus iCloud.

She's accepted she'll have to 'make due' until the 5. Oh well, thanks for the replies....
