I have a problem with my Air's screen.

I was using it with an external monitor in clamshell mode for around two days, took it out of the stand it was in, and the backlight was flickering very badly.

I have reinstalled OSX ML after trying numerous other "fixes" and the problem seems to have gone once I'm logged into the machine, however, If I go to the logged out screen (pictured) There is sort of light overlay of a flickering square that I cannot get to disappear.

Anyone else ever had this?

never heard of anything like this before, But as it's a '12 Air i'd just take it into an Apple store and get them to take a look at it under warranty.
