How to Fix Shift Key MBP

My Shift key broke off. It still works luckily. It's from a Macbook Pro.

How do I get the shift key back on the keyboard?

I have tried a number of ways to get the metal link to slide through the sockets but I don't want to break anything and I am three hours away from a mac store!
