No idea what an SE Phone is but have you tried looking through their website for either a firware update or a driver for OSX or something?

Download iGrabber

It's something to do with a kext file that isn't yet there for the new SEs so you need to add it. Thankfully some clever chap in Aachen, Germany has done so - install it and one restart later you'll be able to plug/unplug quite happily.

iGrabber works. Thanks AppleSpider. You are a help resource forum in your own right!
