CVALDES Goes Negative
Look, not all patents will come to light, that's for sure. But this "Gruber" attitude that patents are useless and will never come to light is foolish. Steve Jobs believed in patents and in 2007 already had 200 patents to protect the iPhone which they in part used against Samsung. So this nonesense that companies spend billions on patents to do nothing with them is foolish.
Every product that Apple has ever made (iMac, MacBook Air, iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc) is protected by patents 20 fold deep. And, patents foretold of the iPhone and iPad. So every patent has to be judged on it's own merit. Many cried that no one would ever, ever use a virtual keyboard on the iPhone. Yeah, how did that prediction do?
And lastly, patents take time to come to market. They're not student papers. Many of the iPhone patents took 7-9 years to come to market. The naysayers, like CVALDES were screaming that Apple would never get into the phone market and screamed blue murder. In the end, the naysayers were simply big mouths.
If you don't think that Apple will create a virtual keyboard, then restrict your opinion to that.
