Macbook Pro 13 with external monitor

Hi,

I want to buy an external monitor (27 inch) to hook it up with my Macbook Pro Early 2011. My Macbook Pro specs are: Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 120 GB Intel SSD.

Is it possible to experience lags or slowdows when my macbook will output on the monitor (full hd) ?
