Can you just save "kind:folder" (without the quotes)? I did a quick test and that looks like it would work.

Good idea Weaselboy which I should have thought of but in practice it seems to pick out only main folders and not subfolders which is the main reason I should like to find folders. Of course a name search also finds .jpgs etc which I have a few of, not enough to metter.
Maybe this is a Mac wich list item unless anyone has a better suggestion.
