Is this possible?
I'm currently a ATT customer with an unlocked 4S, off contract.
When I preordered my Verizon phone this (early morning), I set it up as a number port from my AT&T account.
My understanding is that, when I open/turn on the Verizon 5, the port will be initiated. (Along with the associated canceling of my AT&T service, etc).
If I recieve but never open/activate the phone, however, and simply return it straight to the Apple Store, will I be able to stay with AT&T as if nothing had ever happened?
OR
Have I already doomed myself to losing my grandfathered ATT plan as well as a sure-to-be-long and frustrating series of calls to ATT/Verizon to straighten everything out?
I have my reasons for such a quick about-face, but they are not relavent to my question.
Thanks for any responses!
