Was considering queuing but got my preorder in early and showing to be delivered on 21/9.
Braehead is only 5 mins from me so if I get my phone early enough I might pop along to see the chaos ![]() If it doesn't turn up however I will be well peeved! |

I'll be at Buchanan St as well. I used to queue there for an iPad this March, but assume iPhone is much more desirable so line is going to be TOO DAMN HIGH! I'm going to pick up my friend with me so she can see this whole crazy iPhone fever.

Got an online order from Apple that shows delivers 1st October. If it doesn't improve during the week then I'll probably cancel and try my luck at Braehead or Buch. St.
Was able to buy my iPhone 4 the day after launch in Buchanan St with no problems, suppose demand could be higher this time round.

I am from Edinburgh and the last train to Glasgow is at 23:50 on thursday so I will be taking this one and queuing from around 1:30AM
Or taking the first one and queuing from 7AM, but I think that might be a bit late. Want to get the black 16GB unlocked.

I'll be at Buchanan street from about 5am, last qued for the iPhone 4 when they had a reserve and collect option, there were two lines and was fairly near the front. My mate went for the 4s launch with only one line, and was at the front 50 or so in the line from about 5-5:30am onwards.
Looking forward to it, just hope the Scottish weather is kind to us at that time in the morning. ![]()

I think people generally overreact to these launches.
For the iPhone 4, I went to Buch St at about 11am (albeit I reserved, and still had to wait 3 hours) and got it no problem. I heard of people sauntering in at 5pm without a reservation and getting one fine. And Apple generally has got better recently with meeting launch demand. I would just go late afternoon when the dust has settled if I were doing the whole launch day thing again (which I may well do) - and if you have to wait until Saturday, so be it. You've lasted your entire life to this point without an iPhone 5, you can wait a bit longer. |

They usually have barriers setup at HMV entrance (where m&s and the bus station is) and then let you in about an hour before the store opens...
