Anyone planning on lining up at the Apple store in Leawood on Friday? There have been significant lines there in the past, so I didn't know if any fellow MR members would be there.

Have you done it before or is this the first time?

I'm planning on going to the Sprint store on their campus. Any idea what kind of line I should expect there?

Yeah it's over by the Cheesecake Factory between Metcalf and Nall on 119th. Good to know, still probably need to show up early regardless.

Yes there was a quite a queue. I have camped out each year and normally by about 6:00 a.m, its' LONG!

About the same time the news teams roll-in, and coffee and bagels (or donuts) are served form a local company. It is pretty fun experience.

I was able to go back and pick up up on for my Dad, Saturday afternoon.. The had the exact model he wanted (16GB Black). I think they get additional stock that evening or early morning.

The awesome thing is that now you've got a Trader Joe's and a Roasterie for good food and AMAZING coffee!

I can't show up at 9pm tonight. The best I could do is super early in the A.M. My college class starts at 8:00AM but I can deal with being slightly late to this one. I have heard the wait can be hours though, is this true for the Leawood store if I show up super early?

Thanks!

Yeah just drove by, I would say about that ~30. I stopped by the Sprint store on their campus as well, no one was there. No one was at Best Buy on 119th either.

41 action news was just reporting from the Plaza. People were lined up north up the street and around the corner. Anyone in line @ Leawood checking the forums/this thread?

3 total, glad I went the carrier route. A LOT less traffic, but maybe that means missing the "experience" as well.

Hah. Well, when you're done, you ought to drive over to Roasterie to get some coffee & show off your phone to those waiting in line at the Apple store!
