Hi Guys.

Was looking over the Airport extreme, it only has a USB2 connection.
I'm looking to share my USB3 external over LAN.

Surely with the USB3 on the new macbook pro, Apple will issue the next update to the Airport Express with a USB3 connector right?

What do you guys think?

For the mean time can someone recommend me a Modem/adapter which has USB3 connection for sharing over LAN?

Thanks a lot :)

Couldn't they toss in an old A5, A5x or A6 since they are currently using them, drop an 802.11AC Broadcom chip, USB3 chip, ethernet chip and rock out.

and add me 1 more ethernet port:p

The 3 LAN ports on the current hardware is kind of a joke.

I can see maybe where they are coming from where most people won't need that many but most other routers have had 5 total ports for years and I only need 1 more....

oh well, soon as I close on the new house I'll have it wired for CAT6 and install a gigabit switch and be done with it.
