Hello friends,

I bought an iBook G3 500MHz. Seller said battery doesn't hold full charge. When i open Coconut Battery, it says the current charge capacity is way more than the original (i think this means that the battery is dead, correct me if i am wrong). The orange light on the Power Adapter is on, and it says 100% charged, even though the battery is flat. When i first got it, the battery was at 0% and charging (green light would flash on batt) Now nothing. I've bought myself a new battery for it, so while it is coming, could this be a bad DC IN board?

Its more than likely just a bad battery. I've had this happen a lot with some of my old Apple notebooks including one of my TiBooks which is about the same age as that iBook you have.
