Ok i have a very strange problem, i have a iMac 27" i7 and my fans are running up and rising more and more when i don't touch the mouse or do anything. It doesnt go idle but as soon as i touch anything then the fans are directly going down. This happen's even in the apple installation (recovery) mode so it's not any app or something that is doing this.

Double check in Activity Monitor to make sure that it really isn't an app or process running wild.

If it's definitely not a process using the CPU heavily, then reset the SMC.

If the problem persists after resetting the SMC and it's definitely not app/process related, then you will need to take in it to Apple.
