Can somebody please confirm that there should be two small star headed screws in the bottom of the new iPhone. I checked Apples website and they appear in their photos.

It also came with a small scratch on the edge which seems to be a fairly common occurrence on the black models. :(

I have them. I have the white 64gig. For some reason, my AT&T store didn't get any 64 black. Weird. Just return it to the Apple store or go in and tell/show them. It should be fixed and you'll be given a new phone. Whether it's an actual new iPhone 5 or a refurbished one (would they even have those yet?) I don't know.

Dude you are screwed!

Ok seriously, I think you are really missing them!

Wow! Seems like the quality department was on vacation for the production of the 5! Horrible!

You now know why I actually go into an Apple Store to get my new iPhone- even with the hassle of waiting in line. When you are there in person, you can unbox it and look it over before accepting. In the past, I had to reject one phone because of very obvious QC issues.
I realize that's not a viable option for many, but it's something I try to do.
Return it...

Ha, thanks for the quick replies. Looks like it was made on a Friday afternoon.

I will have to phone them, no Apples stores within a few hours of me unfortunately. Will have to find a sim adapter so i can use my trusty old Nokia Lumia.

They forgot to put screws on

This is horrible

How is it "horrible?" Sorry, I agree it's a major issue and he's obviously going to get a replacement, but "horrible" would be a dictator killing innocent people or my dog getting hit by a car. This is one of millions of phones manufactured at a factory in China... Countless others won't have this issue. Am I the only one who thinks "This is horrible" is just a tad melodramatic?

I've seen a lot of crazy threads of people overreacting but this is insane! I'd get on the phone with them right away. Bad luck man.

My 4S had 1 screw missing, and when I took it to Apple they tried to accuse me of tampering with the phone. I told them they are out of their minds and the phone came like that.

Even without screws, ifixit had to use a suction cup to open it. Pop it in a case or use some tape at the bottom temporarily while they get some screws to you. No big deal. I certainly wouldn't do anything extreme like use an old phone.

LOL. Is it me or is there a lot more posts on disappointments and issues with the iP5. I've read all the comments from happy campers which validates the iP5. All i"m saying is that there are more negatives with the iPhone 5, then with the 4 or 4S when those models were released.

Were you even here last year? Definitely not the case.
