You could argue with the fit, as I still have issues, but they sound very good imo. Of course I'm not an audiophile snob that likes to pretend I'm hearing something different then everyone else.

Well it wasn't 16x9 for years either. The iPad isn't 16x9. In my opinion, the only time you need true 16x9 is for watching video. I could put up with a little letterboxing or scaling during playback. Otherwise, a bit more pixels on the width would be nice.

It's kind of weird how when Steve Jobs died, the fanboys split into two groups: the Steve Jobs fanboys who now hate Apple and want to see it fail without him, and the real Apple fanboys who will continue to support the company no matter what.

And then there's MacRumors, where both types and some added trolls all come to yell at each other.
I'm one of the fanboys in the first group. I own an iPhone 5 and will continue to buy apple products for the foreseeable future. I do feel that some of the magic has left Apple for me though, especially in the Keynotes and the terse emails from Steve.

Never been a big fan of Apple commercials, but at least they're keeping things classy, unlike a certain Android manufacturer.

The physics ad made perfect sense, how could anyone not understand it?

I've wondered about the audiophile people. Are there any scientific studies that say that they can actually discern little things in audio equipment that others can't? Or is it a placebo effect?

Wrong. Totally.

Could you be more pretentious? I can see this poster drinking his Cognac from a snifter as they wrote this. I had a custom set of Shure's and while Apples $29 ear pods can't stand up to a $700 set of Shure's they do a helluva job trying, and for the price... unbeatable. Way better than my buddys Beats.

I will say this though, EarPods are certainly better than the earbuds they replaced but they should not be $29. If you think these are amazing headphones you surely haven't used many.

So... you're opposed to change? I mean, shouldn't people be taking their products and then try to make them better? This is the result of that.

Think much?

Oh yeah, got that right off. Loved The Newsroom! I can't believe we have to wait until June 2013 for the second season though....it's like SOA, and Sopranos there at the end.....WAY too much time between seasons and far too few episodes to even be called a "season".

I didn't mean to come across as pretentious, they are certainly far better than Beats or Bose which produce highly processed sound, $29 is a little steep.

Since when is a piece of hardware up against a piece of software? Clearly you haven't touched yet alone seen a iPhone 5 firsthand. Poor thing. Oh and PC world just posted its the FASTEST phone on the market. Doh!

Cut the map BS. Let's get back to reality should we?

Even when Samsung pays people to stand in line, they will still only stand in line for an iPhone, not a Samsung.

These ads are very, very good. Perhaps the negativity people are expressing, the "I can't quite put my finger on it" feeling, may be stemming from the fact that these ads are not inspirational or experiential in nature. Compare these to the iPad ads, which are warm, fuzzy and leave you with a feeling that you are enriching your own humanity buy using the product.

The reason these ads are so effective, however, is because they very simply explain some of the iPhone 5's core strengths. If you want a condescending ad, go look at the Galaxy S3 ad depicting iPhone customers as sheep. What a great way to win over iPhone owners, right? The Thumbs ad is perfect and effectively counters the "bigger is better". The Physics ad had me laughing, but at the same time sent the clear message that the larger screen, lighter weight and thinner design are wins all around. The Panorama ad was classic Apple, funny in just the right places and relates a feature to something artistic. The exhaustion of the narrator as he says "cheeeeese" is a great touch, reminding us what an incredibly wide panorama the phone can take.

From an advertising perspective, these ads are wins.

Not wanna flame this, but half of those ads are just telling that the way Apple did it the past couple of years was just wrong.
That's Apple in a nutshell. They said 3.5'' were perfect for a phone before. Now it's 4'', and suddenly it's perfect as well. They just don't motivate their change, neither in these ads, or on the keynote. "You see more content", was all they said.

Apple simply can't be humble.

Instead of Mac Vs. PC ads, we need some IOS Vs. Androids ads
