Hard restart changes password?

I have the new iPhone 5, and I didn't have any 4G or anything. So I had to hard reset it. When I go to enter my password, it doesn't work. So I had to restore it and then I set a password to 0000. I hard reset my phone again, and the password keeps saying invalid. Anyone else having this issue? :mad:
