I know we don't have LTE yet so anyone in a country who does will laugh at these.

But I did a speedtest last night on 3 mobile and got this.

Anyone else getting good downloads?

WOW, that's quick.

Don't think you'll need 4G to be honest with that. EE are quoting speeds of 8-12 Mbps only which I think is quite poor.

I was all up for 4G once it rolls out but I'm currently getting 6Mbps with Orange, so 4G would have to be hardly any more expensive for me to think about it.

Yep, getting 17.5 down & 3.5 up on Three - pretty impressive. A guy in the main UK iPhone thread has just posted his 16.5 down on Orange.

And another. While I understand LTE will be better. You do question will it be worth the premium for a while.

Three used to be terrible, but they've really upped their game over the last couple of years. I jumped ship from O2 to them about 18 months ago now and I couldn't be happier.

Im struggling to get 1mb here on giffgaff, using O2 network and its got slower and slower lately. Had hoped the faster capability of the ip5 would resolve this but it hasn't so today I am going to go get a 3 nano sim and port my number over. Can't believe the speeds you guys are getting!!

My result from last night... Faster than I could pull down on 4s, I'm guessing that didn't have DC-HSDPA?

Might have to get unlimited data add on now...

This thread makes me happy that I chose to leave Vodafone and go with 3 for my iPhone 5! No complaints here pulling down around 8Mbps with only 2 bars of 3G coverage..... :D
