Just an dumb question becuase if it has the same old A5 chip as the 4s and no the new A6 im imagining we are going to see a faster jailbreak for ios 6?
Based on this picture posted by @chpwn, the iPhone 5 has already been jailbroken, so there aren't any iOS 6 limitations. As you said, the A5 was jailbroken a while ago, so I could imagine a jailbreak released on the same day as the fifth generation iPod touch.
There's a good chance that when an iOS6 jailbreak comes out for the iPhone 4S/iPad 2, we'll see a jailbreak for the iPod touch 5th gen at the same time.
