Cannot use Find My Mac

I installed a Samsung 830 recently. I booted up from a thumb-drive and installed from a time machine backup. All is going well.

I used Find my iPhone app and it would not find my MBP. I checked the MBP and under iCloud it will not allow me to activate it. It says "A recovery partition is required."

How can I fix this?
