Wow just love the quality of all apple products. I am switching from a Droid and this will be my very first iPhone I own. I preordered the black but a little worried about the reported scratching on the back. My current droid is naked because I did not like the bulk but do to the slimmer profile of the iphone 5, better protection is not as great of a compromise.

I have ordered an iPhone 5 Screen Protector called GLAS.t
Heres the link to those that are interested: http://www.spigen.com/iphone5-oleophobic-coated-tempered-glass-glas-t.html

I have been researching a number of cases but I needed some help figuring out which cases will work with the .4mm thickness of the glas.t.

2. http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/apple-iphone/iphone-5/iphone-5-case-neo-hybrid-ex-series.html (sadly not yet released but it comes with a screen protector and one for the back)

These are on the slimmer side

4. http://www.desmay.com/ (iPhone 5 not yet release but I like that its slim and it does not have a completely exposed front and bottom)

5. http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-m...90-7252918-3771605?ie=UTF8&index=0&isremote=0 (I am a little bit of a perfectionist and noticed that the speaker cutouts on the bottom do not completely match)

6. http://www.iphonecaze.com/iphone-5-zero5-matte-ultra-thin-cases.html (Slim but from pictures it looks as if the bottom is exposed)

Also if you do find a case that does work and similar to my needs and interests please post a link. Thanks you for your time and input.

I was contemplating on the Glas.t vs the BodyGuardz Pure, but the Pure gets you a lifetime warranty ($12.95 for a new one) and BodyGuardz has a 50% off promotion!

Regarding your case choices. I feel a bumper style case would do great because it doesn't take away from the design of the phone. The Candyshell's rip at the bottom after extended use, at least they did with the 30-pin.

Hopefully the soft version (not yet in stock) offer a bit of grip. If the matte coating is on the outside, it'd help.

For those that are OCD and perfectionists heres a how to method of installing the glas.t:

CandyShell works according to this reivew:
http://www.keyables.com/2012/04/is-sgp-glast-compatible-with-speck.html

My personal choices are down to the Candyshell or the Switcheasy NUDE

EDIT: Switcheasy NUDE comment of a fellow member:

I had this case for my iPhone 4.

I liked the slim, minimal design. However, a good amount of dirt always got behind the case. This didn't really do anything to the glass back on the 4, but the anodized back on the iPhone 5 will definitely scratch with this case, so I'm not buying it again. Also the case snaps latch to the metal antenna, so that will scratch on the iPhone 5 as well.

Trust me, stay away from this design with your iPhone 5.

EDIT 2: Other cases of interest.

Anyone use the Incipio Frequency or Belkin Candy Grip / Sheer?

Looking at these two cases and want to make sure they will work with the protector.
