I bought my (iphone 4s) 5 months ago,
The compass/magnetometer was working very good.
Two months ago, i started to save the iphone in a magnetic case,
Now i have a problem with any app using the compass/magnetometer .. it shows me "compass interference" message .. i always wave the iphone in a figure 8 motion to re-calibrate the compass and the message disappear but the compass got crazy !! (sometimes north turned to E or S or W) in quick motions .. no fixed location detected .. it always turn in crazy motions !.
I removed this magnetic case and repeated all steps tens of times .. the same problem.
I tried to reset the settings .. the same problem.
Finally i updated the IOS to the latest version but still the same problem.
I'm sure no magnetic sources/effects around me .. I tested it in the home,street,work and many public locations but the same problem still occurs.
I'm sure that the problem is from using this magnetic case for 2 months .. It made this bad effect on the magnetometer.
Can i fix the magnetometer? Or it corrupted forever?
