Best SSD for 2010 MacBook Pro 13 inch

Hi, I'm looking at ssd's and I'm having trouble deciding among the OWC mercury 6g extreme pro, Samsung ssd 840 PRO, and others (Vertex 4?)
Any and all help would be appreciated!

Samsung is the most efficient.

With 2010, you can get the cheaper SATAII 3GBPS because your mac doesnt support SATA III.

samsung 480 on ebay sells for around $140 buy it now free shipping.

I have the OCZ Vertex 4 in my Late 2009 Mini and I am getting about 105Mbs read/write speeds, only because of the non support of the SATAIII. But I love it and tigerdirect.com has been putting it on sale from time to time. I got mine a month or 2 ago for $89.99. Right now its $114.99.

I also have the OWC Mercury 6G extreme pro in my Mid-2010 Macbook, I am on my second drive. When I got the first one it failed on me with in 2 months of normal use. Macsales.com replaced it sense it was still under warrenty... The second one has been working fine, but it don't seem like it runs as smooth as the Vertex 4. But I am still getting about the same read/write 105Mbs read/write speed.

And thats my 2 cents. Hope this helps out a little bit.

I can only recommend the Intel 320 series.

I have got mine for about 1 1/2 years, sometimes under heavy load since I am doing large scale scientific images data processing and it still is as fast as it was on the first day on my MBpro (2009) with >150MB/s read/write on SATAII.

cheers

840 pro flies. Absolute monster and it does background garbage collection so the performance will not degrade
