Why not? Can't find them? Did you check your local apple store or best buy?

This is driving me crazy. I am so pissed off at apple for dropping the ball on this. When u introduce a new connector for the hottest device on the planet, you better make damn sure u produce enough cables & adapters. There is no reason for it.

I found a cable at my local verizon store. Walked in, picked it up. No problem.

Or Ebay... You can get them for $30 shipped all day long. Sux, but if you need it...

I ordered mine online at Apple and they came the next business day.

Picked one up at my local apple store on saturday.

You can also order from Apple.com and get them within 2 days. (regardless of the shipping estimate..mine said mid-october, and I got them last Tuesday).

And I bought 4 at my local Apple Store last Sunday. They had tons.

You do get a free one with the phone, just carry it with you in the bag at all times?

Also, I couldn't find them locally, ordered it online and it came within 2 days.

I've tried my local apple store twice, and best buy 3 times. And nothing. Yeah, they get them in on a reg basis. But they're gone as fast as they get there.

Did you try any of the carriers that have stores in your area?

Try to order on Apple.com but choose local store pickup. From there you can see the inventory status of your local Apple stores. I just bought one on Saturday at Apple Store Arrowhead in Glendale, AZ.

Yup. I ordered extra that was originally slated to deliver between 10/17 and 10/24. It's on the truck for delivery right now.

I did try a local VZW store. And as of Saturday they hadn't received a single cable since launch. Same with best buy. Guy told me they ordered 500 cables, and 500 adapters and not a single one of either had come in. Appl was the only place they said they come in on a reg basis.

I walked into a local Apple Store on a busy Friday night and they had loads of them. (We're talking over 100 easily.)

Grabbed one and was out in less than 2 minutes!

got mine at the 5th ave Apple store, did an online order for pick up, then a few hours later the pick up dates slip to October 18 and further.

This. Despite the Apple online store giving 2-3 week estimates, both of my lightning cable orderes arrived on the next business day.

I wish they would deliver some to Best Buy already. This stupid cable nonsense plus the map debacle is a special combination of awful.
