Can I buy (2)iphone5s off contract at apple online and give it to my friends?

I'm at Verizon, can I just buy two iphone5 at apple then give it to my friends(TMobile) while I still use my current sim for first phone the Galaxy Nexus? Will this in any conflict with my own plan? Thanks.
