Sharing pictures from iPhone 5 to Facebook seems to be of low quality?

I'm not sure why but when taking pics on my new iPhone 5, and looking back at them, they are simply stunning. But when I share them to my facebook account and look at them there, they appear to be low quality. Sigh. Any ideas how to keep that high quality throughout?
 
The facebook app is probably compressing them.
Just like when you send a video message it compresses it to save bandwidth.
