Toggle between AirPlay and built-in audo in OS X Mountain Lion

Hello,

Is there a way to toggle between AirPlay audio and built-in audio other than going through system preferences? I'm looking for a tool or something in the menu bar that lets me toggle between the both.

Me too

I am looking for this also. I suspect the problem you have is that you have iTunes set to Airplay to an Apple TV and then when you go into Safari (insert other app here) and watch a video you get no sound. Highly annoying!!

Just option-click the volume icon in the menubar:
