Hi,

I just got Mac Lion, and have apple tv generation 3. How do i set up the airplay connection? I do not see the icon in the top of my right hand menu bar. Both my mac book pro and apple are on the same wifi network and working.

please help

I have the same 'problem'. I have mountain lion but I also don't see the icon in the top right. I upgraded from lion in august. Since I never use airplay it doesn't bother me that much, but now I saw this question I'd like to know as well. Where can I find it when it's not in the top right?

What year are your Macs? I think anything prior to early 2011 won't do airplay even though it may run ML.

Thank you

I have a MBP from 2007. It's kinda messed up that apple doesn't tell anyone that it doesn't work on older ones, or did they?
