So since I'm in college now, I was considering buying a decent speaker setup for my desk. I've been looking around, but I have no clue with what to get or what to look for. I tend to listen to electronic/techno music with some rock/metal/screamo thrown in, so I want to get something with a subwoofer and a decent bass output. Ideally, I want something where you can feel the bass and also have a decent sound level and quality. My budget is around $200, but I can go a little over if necessary. I have enough room in my bedroom to store a 2.1 setup, but definitely not a 5.1. I was considering these two options:
These Altec Lansing, but I've read about a lot of people complaining about a humming/buzzing noise. - http://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-MX6021-Expressionist-Speaker/dp/B0025VKUR0
or these Klipsch - http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-ProMedia-Certified-Computer-Speaker/dp/B000062VUO
I heard some people saying getting bookshelf speakers, but i dont have the space for those. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
