When something is added? No. When something is due and a alert is supposed to pop up? Yes.

The other parties always get emails when new events are added

Icloud.com has settings for email notifications. However on shared reminders event pop up notification won't notify the other party. For example, I share a reminder list with my friend. I post a reminder on that shared list with notification on a date and time. When it's time for the notification I get it, but my friend does not.
